<p>Plant for the low-temp. carbonisation of material such as industrial refuse to produce fuel gas has a bank of revolving drums through which the refuse is transported in a meandering path. The drums are arranged above a cooling grate for the prods. of the kiln for which the fuel gas is intended and are heated by part of the air passing through the cooling grate in a closed circuit. A simple method for producing fuel gas with a high calorific value, using as process heat for the low-temp. carbonisation the waste heat from a cooling operation.</p> |
