PURPOSE:To manufacture a grooved decorative board in high efficiency, by bonding a decorative sheet to a board having a number of parallel grooves using a press roll furnished with a number of parallel ridges wherein the pitch of the parallel ridges is equal to that of the grooves. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a grooved board 2 having a number of rectangular grooves 1 parallelly disposed with definite intervals, and the inner walls of the grooves 1, are coated with an adhesive by an applicator roll 5 furnished with a number of ridges 4 parallelly disposed with intervals equal to that of the grooves, so as to contact the curved surface of the applicator roll with the flat surface of the board, and the inner walls of the grooves with the ridges of the roll. The board coated with the adhisive is transferred between a transfer roll 7 and a press roll 8 having a number of ridges 4' parallelly disposed with intervals equal to that of the grooves, and a decorative sheet 9 inserted between the press roll 8 and the grooved board 2 is bonded to the board with the adhesive. |
