Portable electrical lighting unit has handle accommodating batteries. This unit can be switched readily regardless of the attitude of the handle. The lighting unit is used by pedestrians or cyclists for producing warning or direction indication signals. The switching part is a ring (10) around the handle and it can be actuated by pressure at any part. This flexible ring accommodates a coaxial contact ring (7) and contact is readily established between the actuating ring (10) and the contact ring (7). An internal rubber hollow or solid ring (11) is used for centering of the switching ring. |
