<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject piezo-electric body wherein a mesh-like high molecular layer is provided on the surface of a chain high molecular layer by plasma polymerization or glow polymerization, and is subjected to polarization treatment, thereby to obtain a thin piezo-electric membrane of high piezo-electric moduls, excellent in electrical machine conversion efficiency and small in piezo-electric anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:A mesh-like high molecular layer obtained by plasma polymerization or glow polymerization of a vinyl monomer and a polymer of methane, ethane, propane, toluenenaphthalin, anthracene or the like is provided on the surface of a chain hgh molecular layer such as polyester, polyethylene, vinylidene polyfuoride. To both surfaces of a resin layer fabricated by laminating the above described layers alternately suitably in two or three layers there are attached electrodes, and the thus obtained piezo-electric body is then subjected to polarization. The piezo-electric body prepared by the above described procedure manifests excellent piezo-electric characteristic without subjecting the same to elongation treatment, and even when it is subjected to elongation treatment, no anisotropy is produced. A desired configuration of the piezo- electric body can be obtained. Particularly, in the case of using plasma polymerization, a uniform thin layer is easily obtained.</p> |
