Horizontal telescopic pipe sections are connected to a vertical standpipe, each being suspended at the end nerest to othe standpipe from rollers on a guide, while the last section is connected to a distributor head discharging downwards and slewing in a plane at right angles to that of the pipe sections. All the telescopic sections are similar, and taper towards the distributor head. The taper end of each section is supported by leaf springs bent outwards on both sides of the vertical plane passing through the pipe axis on the inside of the next section. The springs can run in the lengthwise direction of the pipe, being mounted on the outside of the respective pipe section taper end. |
