<p>PURPOSE:Light, compact braking unit capable of pressing uniformly right and left pads on each side of brake disc by fixing the main body of a caliber on chassis frame. CONSTITUTION:A caliber proper is fixed on the side of a chassis frame 1 and pistons 4, 4 are disposed back to back on the outer sides of a hydraulic chamber 7, and, upon introduction of hydraulic oil into the chamber 7, the inner piston 4 acts on a pad 3, with the outer piston 4 acting on the outer pad 3 by way of a brace member 8. The arm member 8 is buckled on each end 8a which is placed on the exterior of an external piston 4 and an external pad 3, supporting the unit movably with a shaft 10 on the chassis frame 1. The arm member 8 permits the use of a sliding type sliding left to right in place of an oscillating type.</p> |
