PURPOSE:To remove welding fume and gas by using a simple, compacted device by protecting worker from fume and gas with air curtain formed in the direction from floor side to wall side between welding portion and worked and by sweeping then upward by the flow the air curtain. CONSTITUTION:The air-jetting device 4 is provided between the welding portion 10 at the corner where the floor plate 1 intersects with the wall plate 2 and the worker 3. The tube 6 of the device 4 is fastened to the floor plate 1 by means of the magnet 7 on the both ends. Then, the valve 8 is opened to jet air in the direction from the floor plate 1 side to the wall plate 2 side so that the air curtain F is formed. The jetting angle of air is set to 70 to 80 deg. against the floor plate 1, and the flow rate of air is preferably 2 to 3m/sec. The air curtain protects the worker 3 form welding fume and gas G and at the same time introduces them G upward for discharging. Thus, the gas shield effect at the time of gas arc welding is not damaged. |
