PURPOSE:A blooming mill capable of producing a variety of steel products which has blooming and bellet mill line and blooming mill line, both having a common charging side for blooming steel, and which has a soaking pit and a heating furnace on the charging side. CONSTITUTION:The steel ingot from the soaking pit 3 or the cast steel pieces from the heating furnace 4 is rolled into a fixed shape by means of the universal and high lift mill 5 and then is cut by the slabshear 7 after passing through the hot scarfer 6. The cut steel slabs are arranged to a fixed number by the piller 8 and then transported to the slab cooling place 10 through the slab transfer car 9, the sars of the slabs, as needed, are removed by the cold scarfer 11, and then the slabs are transferred through the thick slab aligning line 12 or the thin slab aligning line 18 to the thick slab yard 13 or the thin slab yard 19. When blooming the slabs, the slab is rolled by the blooming mill 14 and then cut into a fixed length by the hot saw 16. And, when billeting the slab, it is rolled by the billet mill 15 and then cut by the hot saw 16. Thus, this equipment greatly increases the function of the blloming mill. |
