PURPOSE:To prevent environmental pollution and accelerate bleaching speed by applying a specific bleaching solution to a solver halide color photographic material containing an acylamino type magenta coupler. CONSTITUTION:A bleaching solution containing an aminopolycarboxylic acid-metal complex such as ferric ammonium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, halogen ions, and 0.2 -5, preferably 1.0-3.0 g/l of alkali metal salt or NH4 salt of bromic acid is adjusted preferably to pH 4.0-7.0. The abore silver halide color photographic material using an emulsion of high silver content is imagewise exposed, color developed, and treated with the above bleaching solution. Thus, the occurence of magenta stain due to bleaching fog is prevented, and even if a finished image is stored over a long term, yellow stain does not occur at the uncolored portion of green sensitive layer, resulting in no insufficient recoloring. |
