PURPOSE:To accelerate image forming speed as well as to heighten image contrast in a color diffusion transfer process using dye releasing redox (DRR) compounds, by using specific two kinds of DRR compounds. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of non-diffusible dye image forming substances (DRR compounds) are used which are oxidized with oxide of a silver halide developing agent, releasing diffusible dyes at different speeds. For example, the compound of formula III with higher dye releasing speed is combined with the compound IV with lower speed out of DRR compounds represented by formulas I,II wherein each of M and M' is a radical which releases diffusible dye through redox reaction with oxide of a developing agent under alkali condition; each of col and col' is a dye portion; each of J and J' is a radical which forms aiffusible dye together with the dye portion; and n is 1,2,3 or 4. |
