The invention relates to perforated pattern cards of the kind used for controlling dobbies and comprising an endless band formed by joining the two ends of the strip. The pattern card (1) with perforated (60) or unperforated (6) areas is formed of a strip (50) the ends of which (5) are joined together to form a band, over an overlapping area which extends in the circumferential dimension of the band for a dimension corresponding at most to approximately the combined dimension, circumferentially of the band, of a perforation (60) and an imperforate area between two perforations (60) at circumferentially adjacent information areas of the card.
