AUTOMATIC PAPER FEEDER

PURPOSE:To make possible sheet-by-sheet separation and feeding of copying paper by providing a paper feeding means utilizing negative pressure, a double feed preventing means combined with forward and backward running rollers, a sheet conveying means backward running rollers, a sheet converying means consisting of a pair of rollers, dtecting means and a timing relay. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted by a paper feed mechanism 3 which sucks the sheets S being fed to a vacuum casing and feeds the same by a paper feed roller 9, a double feed preventing means 14 which consists of a forward running roller 14a revolving in the feed direction and a reverse running roller 14b revolving in the opposite direction, a conveying means 16 which consists of a pair of rollers normally revolving in the conveying direction, a first detecting means 15 which performs releasing and restarting of paper feed operation of the paper feed roller 9 through movement of the sheets, a second detecting means 17 which is disposed immediate behind the conveying means and releases the revolving force of the forward running roller upon entering of the sheet and a timing relay which cooperates with the detecting means. Hence, large volume of copying paper may be separated and fed sheet by sheet without collating.
