<p>The rotary spray arm comprises a hollow body (1) with several spray nozzles (2) and closed at the ends, with the cross-section increasing from the bearing point (3) where the water is supplied to the ends(5, 6) of the spray arm. The outlet orifices of the spray nozzles (2) have smaller cross-sections as they get further away from the central bearing point (3). This means that as the spray arm rotates the strength of the jets is increased by using the centrifugal force which acts on the water in the arm to provide an even water distribution owing to the different sized cross-sections of the orifices.</p> |
