<p>Lubricating oil and fuel additives having both dispersant and viscosity- index improving properties are prepared by ozonizing a terpolymer of ethylene, a C3 to C8 alpha-olefin, and a non-conjugated diene, and reacting the ozonized terpolymer with certain amines and/or alkane polyols.
