Hard-boiled egg in rod form, prodn. Method comprises the introduction of a pipe of smaller diameter into the tube normally used for preparing hard-boiled egg in rod form for subsequently cutting into slices, e.g. as garnishing for prepd. foods, and the introduction of the previously separated yolk from a series of eggs into this tube and of the white into the annular space between it and the outer tube and the subsequent heating in a suitable bath until the white coagulates followed by removal of the inner tube, the filling up with egg yolk if required and solidifying of this by further heating of the filled outer tube. The inner pipe is pref. of plastic, esp. high density polyethylene. |
