Prefabricated sectional building e.g. motel of octagonal plan - has inverted L-frames radiating from central stair-well and uses no fasteners

The prefabricated sectional building is of a regular octagonal shape in plan, may be used to build motels or similar, and requires no fasteners for assembly i.e. all components interlock. The building has a floor slab and a hollow central stair well of e.g. in situ concrete. Inverted 'L''section frames radiate from the well to define eight compartments. Each compartment may divide into a ground floor garage below a living apartment. Access from the garages to the living areas is by spiral staircase in the well. The legs of the frames locate externally in preset shoes and the ends of the bars locate on dowels projecting from the top of the well.
