The tool is used for waxing the undersurface of a ski and comprises a rectangular container (1) made from a heat conducting material. This has a metal cover (3) placed between the wax to be melted and the burner or other source of heat. A stud (10, 11) permits handling of the cover. The burner is fixed (6, 7) to a bracket (2) on the side (8) and is also used as a handle. The wax in the container, when melted, flows through holes in a shoulder (4) underneath the container and is deposited on the ski as the tool is advanced.
