<p>The curtain placed in front of a decorative panel gives the impression of movement to the viewer moving in front of it. The curtain consists of a number of rods made of transparent material, such as glass, and to a number of perhaps one hundred. The cross-section of the rods is curved, and the rods stuck together so as to form a continuous surface. The rods are cylindrical and placed parallel to each other. The curtain of rods is placed in front of the decorative panel so as to deform the picture, and to fragment it into as many pieces as there are rods.</p> |
