The arm has a metal rod (1) connected to the drive mechanism. The end is fixed in a longitudinal groove (3) machined in the end piece (2). In this, opposite to the rod is a slot (6) parallel to it. A pivot (8) is mounted in an opening in the end piece (2). The pivot also has a long slot (10). For a given position of the pivot relative to the slot (6) a pin (12) of the wiper arm can be introduced in the two slots, the bottom of which is semi-circular in shape. A simple, but accurate assembly is thus given. A lug (13) helps operation.
