Relining of vertical tube rubbish chute in multistorey building - assembles liner section-by-section at top shaft for lowering inside chute

In the system a metal lining is provided inside an existing asbestos shoot. The existing shoot (2) comprises a hollow vertical tube located in a service shaft (1) with oblique junctions (4) at each tipping point. The process entails assembling the liner in sections at the top (10) of the shaft and progressively lowering it inside the existing shoot. The assembled lining has lateral openings accurately positioned to coincide with the existing tipping points. Once installed the liner is accurately fixed at the head and foot and junction pieces are fitted at each tipping point. The process may also provide for the placement of the liner outside the existing shoot.
