Hinge for furniture door or flap - ensures positive closing of heavy doors by leaf spring ratchet mechanism

The hinge connects furniture door or flap. The hinge arms are concealed in the furniture and a compact hinge supports heavy doors and flaps. The outside hinge lever (19) has a ratcher cam (33, 34) in contact with a spring loaded ratchet pin (32). When the door is closed, the ratchet mechanism is engaged under spring load. The ratchet mechanism uses a leaf spring. The end of this spring forms the eye enclosing the pivot pin.
