New (1-phenyl-2-triazolylethyl) thioethers and -thiols (mercaptans) of the general formula I' <IMAGE> in which the substituents are as defined in Claim 1, and salts thereof, are obtained by reacting 1-halo-1-phenyl-2-triazolylethane derivatives with thiols (mercaptans) or hydrogen sulphide and converting the resulting compounds, if appropriate, to the salts. The resulting compounds are, if appropriate, oxidised to give new sulphoxides and sulphones. The new compounds can be used as at least one active compound in fungicides and as plant growth regulators. |
