PURPOSE:To prevent a recording layer from being deteriorated and to make a protecting layer uniformly thin and stable by evaporating a protecting layer of an organic thin film upon a heat-mode recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 such as polyester film is evaporated with a recording layer 2 made of Bi, which is made operative to absorb an energy beam such as a laser so as to have its physical constant varied. Further evaporation is made with a protecting layer 3 of an organic thin film such as polyethylene terephthalate in a manner to have a thickness of 100 Angstrom to 10 microns, preferably, 400 Angstrom to 3 microns. Thus, it is pissible to simplify the production and to effect the continous treatment. |
