PURPOSE:To make it possible to use a heat-sensitive recording material for electrolytic recording purpose too, to stably store the same for a long time and to form a clear image at all times by using an inorganic reduced substance thereby to make use of the color change resulting from the reduction of a Co(III) complex. CONSTITUTION:A Co(III) complex, which is stable at a room temperature, such as hexammine compolex salt and an inorganic recuced substance such as fine powders of Zn are dissolved or dispersed in a suitable solvent togeter with a binding resin. The heat-sensitive layer forming liguid thus prepare is applied to a conductive substrate and then is dried to form a photosensitive layer. As a result, a color development can be made possible at a low voltage, and the power supplied portion can be subjected to discharge breakage. Then, by contacting and heatng a layer containing only such recording material or a substance which does or does not develop a color by the action of a basic substance, it is possible to form a nega-posi image. By biasing a slightly lower temperature than the heat-sensitive coloring temperature, moreover, it is possible to accomplish the high speed recording operation by the contact or approach of a heat signal pattern or by the power supply. |
