PURPOSE:To obtain a molded article beautifully decorated even at end parts, by holding the edge of a pre-formed decorative sheet with the parting faces of the molds, followed by in-mold decorating. CONSTITUTION:In in-mold decorating a pre-formed sheet having patterns or letters in the molds 1 and 2, one or all part of the edge of the sheet 4 is held by the parting faces of the fixed mold 1, the movable mold 2, which are extended along the side wall of the cavity 3, or the slide core, preferably also by parting faces crossing the above-mentioned parting faces. A resin is injected into the cavity 3, and the edge of the resulting article is cut off to give the desired molded article. |
