Appts. for heating small components or small quantities of materials comprises a tube equipped with an adjacent heater and connected to a compressed air source. The air blown through the tube is thus heated and the, hot, discharged air is used for the laboratory heating purposes. Used in any situation where a bunsen burner would commonly be used, esp. for dental mechanics, e.g. for melting wax in the mfr. of dentures. By using an electric air heater, the continual burning of the bunsen burner is avoided and thus a saving in fuel and excessive heating up of the laboratory is eliminated.
