<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic tape from being biased by the action of an extracting member, even if the magnetic tape is left under its extracted condition for a long time, by softening the tension of the magnetic tape with the use of magnetic tape extracting means. CONSTITUTION:A pinch roller 50 and a guide roller 76 are retained at such a position that a magnetic tape 4 is slightly returned from its fully extracted powition from a cassette 2. A magnetic tape 4, which is extended to have sufficient slackness by a second motor 192, is slightly slackened. In response to the movement of a first arm 306 in the direction of arrow A, a lever 332 is also turned clockwise about a shaft 334 so that pin 338 embedded at the leading end thereof is also returned in the direction of arrow A. As a result, an idler drive rod 224, a sliding plate 204 and a control member 212 are returned to their original positions. At this time, the magnetic tape 4 is held under its stopped condition while being automatically extracted from the cassette 2. In order to eliminate the slackness of the extracted magnetic tape, a take-up reel 40 is turned.</p> |
