Transceiver for echo sounding small distance measurement - has semi-parabolic reflectors with excited membranes for transducers

A transmitter-receiver system (100) for acoustic or ultrasonic waves for measurement of distance using echo sanding principles. It is esp. used for level measurements in containers and includes an electroacoustic transmitter and receiver for emitted and reflected waves. It is designed for simple economical manufacture, high effciency, very small distance measurements, and to use transducers insensitive to contamination by dust and condensation etc. A semi-parabolic reflector for each transducer has a plane wall in the axial plane and a metallic membrane excited by a piezo electric crystal system and plaed at the focal point.
