Musical instrument with individual string tuning - uses height adjustment of bridge piece for each string

The support bridge for either strings (4) has each of the latter resting on an individual bridge support (5, 6) which can be adjusted in height, e.g. via an adjustment screw positioned underneath the zither. Pref. each of the adjustment screws for the respective bridge supports has a four-cornered shaft (8) at its end, allowing it to be adjusted via a normal timing key. The height of each bridge support (5, 6) adjusts the tuning of each string (4), so that all the strings (4) can be adjusted readily independent of one another.
