PURPOSE:To transfer an image having high density, favorable light resistance and a gloss by incorporating at least one specified coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A sublimation transfer material is produced by coating a trans fer base with an ink comprising a coloring matter, a binder and a solvent. The transfer base may be a ribbon- or film-shapedmemberof a condenser paper, a polyester resin, a polyimide resin, a polyether-sulfone resin or a material obtained by subjecting such a resin to a treatment for enhancing heat resistance and also smoothness or the like. The binder in the ink may be, for example, gum arabic, casein, polyvinyl butyral, a polyester or other similar resin, one or more of which may be used either singly or in combination. The solvent for dissolving or dispersing the coloring matter and the binder may be, for example, one or a mixture of ethanol, propanol, buthanol and the like. The coloring matter used as a constituent of the ink comprises at least one coloring matter of formula (I). |
