3-[2-(Dialkylamino)ethyl]-2-(benzyl)indoles having in free base form the formula <IMAGE> I where R1 and R2 are lower alkyl groups and R3 is a phenyl, carboalkoxymethyl, lower alkyl or hydroxyethyl group. The compounds of the invention exhibit anti-aggression and anti-secretory properties and are indicated in the management of aggression and gastric hypersecretion.
