1315616 Windscreens FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 15 Nov 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 52911/71 Heading B7J [Also in Division E1] A windscreen assembly comprises a seal 2 having grooves 3, 5 respectively embracing the edge of the windscreen and a flange 1 which defines the opening and overlap and is located behind the windscreen edge, U-shaped clips 6, 7 embracing the windscreen edge and flange 1 respectively and each having one leg 9, 11 positioned within the other clip. Clip 7 has openings 13 in leg 11 receiving detents 10 of leg 9, and has a tongue 14 engaging in a groove 15 in the seal. The pairs of clips are spaced around the windscreen. In Fig. 2 (not shown) clip 9<SP>1</SP> is largely embedded in the seal. |
