<p>A catalyst for polymsg. olefins contains (a) a solid TiCl3-Contg. component with specific surface is not 50 (is not 75), pref. is not 100 and esp. 150200 m2/g., (b) is not 1 organometallic cpd. of Al or a non-transition metal of Gp. I or IIA, and (c) is not 1 Lewis base. The catalysts have high activity and stereo-specificity. With propylene, little sol. polymer is obtd. The catalyst is esp. for polymsg. butene-1,4-methylpentene-1 and propylene (pref.) or for copolymsg. these monomers with ethylene.</p> |
