<p>Apparatus is described for sensing the position in space at the end of an articulated arm formed from example, two pivotally connected lens. The apparatus comprises means for sensing a first angle representative of the orientation of one limb, for example the angle between an inboard limb and the horizontal, and means for sensing a second angle representative of the orientation of an outboard limb relative to the inboard limb. From the two sensed angles an indication of the positioning space of the end of the outboard limb is derived.</p> |
