MEANS FOR EXHAUSTING VAPORS FROM A STEAM COOKER

A steam cooker, e.g. for rice, has means for exhausting vapors from a cooking pot containing water heated by a heater provided within the main body of the cooker. A cylindrical member defines a hole in an inner lid of the cooking pot, which hole communicates with the interior of the cooking pot. An annular wall around said cylindrical member. An annular vapor guide member suspended from the outer lid depends between the cylindrical member and an annular wall around the cylindrical members, return flow holes are provided in the inner lid inside the guide member, and exhaust openings are provided outside the outer lid. The vapors generated during cooking are exhausted from the exhaust openings and liquid from the rice is prevented from boiling over.
