PURPOSE:To transfer toner dropped on a photosensitive body onto a transfer body, to recover it by means of a cleaner, and to prevent the periphery of a device from being contaminated with the toner by activating the photosensitive body, the transfer body, a transfer charger, and the cleaner of the transfer body right after turning on a power source, releasing a jam, or replenishing toner. CONSTITUTION:An area B of a point b1 to b2 is the part where toner drops on the photosensitive body from a developing device 4 due to vibration at the time of releasing a jam, replenishing toner, or turning on the power source of the copying machine main body, and when the area B faces the transfer body 5, the transfer charger 5a is activated to transfer the toner on the photosensitive body 3 onto the transfer body 5. That is, when the point b1 reaches the position facing the transfer charger 5a by means of the rotation of the photosensitive body 3, the transfer charger 5a is turned on and the toner dropped on the photosensitive body 3 is electrostatically transferred onto the transfer body 5; a roller rotates when the point b1 faces the cleaner 5b, and a blade abutting on the transfer body 5 scrapes the toner on the transfer body 5 to carry the toner to a discarded toner part. This prevents a transfer paper and the inside of the main body of the image forming device from being contaminated with toner. |
