PURPOSE:To avoid the decreases of the polymerization speed of contents or the decreases of quality and to efficiently produce polymer of high quality by selecting the location of an outlet nozzle according to the revolving velocity of the mixing fans and the viscosity of the contents. CONSTITUTION:A revolving shaft 2 is located parallel to the axis of a reactor body 1, and plural circular mixing fans are set to the shaft 2 at right angles. Also, an inlet nozzle 5 is fixed at the lower left part of the body 1, an outlet nozzle 6a or 6b at the right side, and a volatile-matter outlet nozzle 7 at the uppe part of the body 1. The nozzle 6a or 6b is fixed either at the side where the fans 3 go into the contents (at the positive direction side) or at the side where the fans 3 come out from the contents (at the reverse direction side). Next, in the case of this horizontal type of a continuous mixer, the nozzle 6a gives easier outlet when the number of fan revolutions is high or the viscosity of the polymer is high. In the opposite case, the nozzle 6b gives easier outlet. |
