Thewarning device e.g. a direction indicator fixed to the arm of the cyclist has a case (10, 12) with one part (12) seen and illuminated by a light source (24). This is actuated by a weight (28) under arm movement. The light source is an electric light bulb. The weight (28) closes a switch to one or more dry batteries (21, 22) inside the case (10). The switch is a conducting metal bar which pivots freely, under the action of the weight, between an open and closed position. The switch has a locking device (32, 33) to immobilise the circuit when the device is not in use. The centre of the cover carries an illuminated arrow. |
