<p>PURPOSE:To easily offer a correcting function for a picture element defect without lowering a numerical aperture by placing a spare wiring connected to a spare switching element in the lower part of a signal line, and arranging adjacently the spare wiring and a scanning line so that they can be connected afterwards. CONSTITUTION:The title substrate is provided with a picture element electrode 3 arranged like a matrix on the substrate, a switching element 4, and a spare switching element 5 which is arranged in the vicinity of a scanning line 8 and a signal line 2, respectively for driving the switching element 4, and disconnected from the picture element electrode 3. Also, a spare switching element 5 is provided in the vicinity of the scanning line 8 so that one end thereof is connected to an opening/closing terminal of the spare switching element 5, and the other end is extended to the side part from the lower part of the signal line 2. In such a manner, even if the spare switching element 5 for correcting easily the defect of the switching element 4 is provided, the active matrix substrate whose numerical aperture is not lowered is obtained.</p> |
