PURPOSE:To obtain a stable fine grain dispersion with a good dispersed state, by adding one or more than one org. acid etc. to an aq. dispersion of water-insoluble solid fine grains to prepare a colloidal dispersion, adding a non-ionic high molecular weight material to it to increase its viscosity, and then adding an ion exchange resin to remove impurities such as acid radical etc. CONSTITUTION:A bonding agent, water-insoluble fine grain powders such as Al2O3 etc. with an average grain size of <100mu, is dispersed in water. Then, one or more than one org. acid such as acetic acid, hydrochloric acid etc. or mineral acid or anion or carbon type surfactant is added as a dispersant to the dispersion in a suitable amount and stirred to prepare a colloidal dispersion. Next, a nonionic water-soluble high molecular weight material such as hydroxyethyl cellulose etc. is added to the colloidal dispersion to dissolve it and increase its viscosity. Thereafter, a purified ion exchange resin is mixed with the dispersion having an increased viscosity to remove impurities such as acid radical or metal salt in surfactant etc. which may be present in the dispersion and obtain a stable fine grain dispersion with a good dispersed state. |
