PURPOSE:To make it possible to produce suitable patting pressure in accordance with the varying thickness of a recording medium by providing pressure means for making the patting pressure suitable in accordance with the thickness of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When a thin recording medium passes between a par 1 and a magnetic head 2, the pat 1 is moved a thickness W toward a guide rod 19 but the guides 16 and 19 are kept from contacting so that the recording medium is pushed onto the magnetic head only by the pressure of a spring 18, thus establishing a suitable patting pressure. On the other hand, when a thicker recording medium passes, the guide rod 16 is brought into contact with the guide rod 19. As a result, the pat 1 is supplied with such a suitable patting pressure for the thicker recording medium as pushes the magnetic head 2 with the pressure which is the sum of the pressures of the springs 18 and 21. |
