PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of developing density caused by sleeve ghost and charge-up by forming a developer carrier of composite material containing carbon fiber and high polymer resin. CONSTITUTION:In the carbon fiber 1, the directions of the fibers are nearly parallel with the axial direction of a sleeve and the carbons themselves are connected with one another by the high polymer resin binder 2. Since the developing sleeve contains the carbon fiber 1, the resin sleeve with low resistivity and high strength can be obtained. Thus, the lowering of developing ability caused by the sleeve ghost and the charge-up during endurance and the contamination of the sleeve by charge control agent, etc., in toner can be prevented. |
