Snag and ladder-proof warp knitted fabric - has matted fibre web provided with rows of warp yarn stitches which are intertwined to varying degree with fibres
摘要

Fabric is composed of a matted fibre web which is held together by parallel rows of warp yarns which during needling have displaced the fibres such that they have been induced to form stitch like loops whose lengths exceed the length of a stitch and thereby prevent snagging by inhibiting the protrusion of fibres or provide stops for ladders. The displaced fibres are forced through the needle holes and are in intimate contact with the stitches, whereby some of the fibe ends are long enough to be included in the stitches on the opposite side of the fabric and others are even longer and are intertwined with threads forming the stitches. Pref. the kind of fibre binding with the stitches is inversely proportional to the fibre length.
