Supplementary circuit for reducing power losses - reduces high reverse voltages at electronic one-way switch by altering capacitors energy

The supplementary circuit is designed to reduce the power losses of an electronic one-way switch occurring at switch-on. It also avoids the production of high reverse voltages at switch-off. The energy stored by the capacitor across the switch (2) is removed or added when the switch turns off. When the voltage of the capacitor is too high, energy is on average removed from it; whilst when its voltage is too low, energy is on average supplied to it. Several circuit variations are described.
