<p>The die consists of a lower half (a) and an upper half (b) with a horizontal joint line. Three die cavities are arranged in a row on each side of a downstick, i.e. total of six cavities. If half (a) are six pairs of wedge-shaped plungers in wedge-shaped recesses; and above the plungers is a longitudinal channel (c, d) forming runners connected via two transverse channels with the downstick. The runners (c, d) have ingates leading to the die cavities. Used for the mass prodn. of hinges in Zr or Mg alloys.</p> |
