PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation of blown air into oxygen and nitgrogen, which differ from each other in magnetic susceptibility, by forming a nonuniform magnetic field radially applied in a conductive tube, arranged in a mixture passage, connected to an anode at one end thereof and a cathode at the other end thereof. CONSTITUTION:The course of a passage L is provided with a conductive circular tube 2 which is connected to an anode at one end thereof and a cathode at the other end thereof. Air fed into the tube 2 through a passage 1 is separated by the difference in magnetic susceptibility between oxygen and nitrogen into oxygen-enriched mixedgas on the inner wall section and nitrogen-enriched mixed-gas at the core section therein. Then, the oxygen-enriched one is introduced into an engine 5 through a blast pipe 4, while the nitrogenenriched one is introduced into a certain place through an exhaust pipe 3. |
