<p>The two warp beams are each connected to different bevel gears in the transmission. These bevel gears are in meshing engagement with two planet pinions mounted in a freely mounted carrier. The carrier is, in turn, mounted in diametrically opposite slots in a driving wheel for the transmission. The driving wheel is driven over a worm. Any variation in speed between the warp beams causes the planet pinions to turn relative to the bevel gears to compensate for the variation without overstressing the gears.</p> |
