The jig for determining the movement of the lower jaw and its articulation is used for the preparation of prosthesis ensuring correct position with respect to the upper jaw. It allows physiological and pathological states of the jaw joint to be deduced using a split bow with parallel sides. The bow comprises a frontal crosspiece (2) with longitudinal bars (3/4) linked by clamps (5). The crosspiece holds a carrier with a dovetail guide for recorder.
