发明名称 DETECTOR FOR FINE PARTICLE IN LIQUID
摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve a higher detection accuracy with an easier manufacture of a flow cell by forming a sample passage with a circular cross-section thereof to pierce the flow cell parallel with first and second sides thereof while a refractive index of a flow cell base material coincides with or approximates to that of a liquid sample. CONSTITUTION:A base material 22a of a flow cell 22 is made of a transparent fluororesin having a light transmittance within 400-700nm (containing a wavelength of laser light) in a wavelength range of light and a refractive index of 1.34. The flow cell 22 has a rectangular prism of 8X8X10mm in contour and a sample passage 20 is made about 50mum in diameter at a part thereof existing in a laser luminous flux 6 and 1mm in diameter near a face of the cell 22 parallel viewed from the surface of the drawing to reduce a pressure loss of the liquid sample 2. When the sample 2 is water or an aqueous solution, as the refractive index of water is 1.33, no lens effect due to the water 2 is caused within the passage 20. In addition, there is no reflected light generated on the boundary of the water 2 and the base material 22a. Furthermore, as a light beam in the luminous flux 6 is roughly orthogonal to sides 22b and 22c of the cell 22, there is no reflected light generated as being incident into a light receiving section 8.
