The raised track has a track support comprising upper and lower chords interconnected by supporting sidewalls, with steel or reinforced-concrete supports for this on a base level. The support is fitted with reaction and/or emergency running devices for the track. The upper support surface for the vehicles is made pref. of steel reinforced concrete and it extends out in a lateral direction to accommodate rails etc. on which the vehicles may run. The lower apex portion of the support system may be of hollow construction.
